Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dependable IT Technician to support, maintain, troubleshoot, and upgrade our company’s technology systems and network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on knowledge of computer hardware and software, Microsoft Windows environments, networking, cybersecurity, databases, and business applications.

This position plays an important role in keeping our employees productive by providing timely technical support, maintaining reliable systems, and helping implement technology solutions that support company growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and resolve computer, software, hardware, and network issues efficiently to minimize user downtime.
  • Set up new user accounts, computers, peripherals, and required software applications.
  • Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network infrastructure.
  • Support network expansion and technology projects as the company grows.
  • Monitor network security and assist with identifying and responding to internal and external threats.
  • Maintain, upgrade, and support company software applications.
  • Evaluate technology needs and make recommendations regarding new hardware, software, and technology resources.
  • Support the administration and maintenance of company databases.
  • Support administration and maintenance of the company SharePoint environment.
  • Support administration and troubleshooting of VoIP telephone systems.
  • Assist with the creation and maintenance of database reports.
  • Document technical issues, solutions, configurations, and procedures as needed.
  • Provide excellent technical support and communication to employees throughout the organization.

Required Qualifications & Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems and enterprise environments.
  • Experience with:
    • Active Directory
    • DHCP
    • DNS
    • WINS
    • WSUS
    • IIS
    • Microsoft Exchange
  • Strong understanding of computer networking, including:
    • IP addressing
    • LAN and VLAN configuration
    • Wireless networking
    • Network troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of database architecture and administration, including Microsoft SQL and Progress.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint administration.
  • Experience supporting VoIP telephone systems.
  • Strong hardware and software troubleshooting skills.
  • Understanding of network security principles and practices.

Additional Qualifications

  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and complete assignments in a timely manner.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with other departments.
  • Ability to work hands-on in a manufacturing environment, including installing and troubleshooting computer and networking equipment in confined spaces.

Education & Certifications

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Microsoft and/or CompTIA certifications preferred/required.
