From our quality controls to the relationships we have with our suppliers, we are committed to sustainable practices extending to every facet of our business.
Our commitment to sustainability aligns with global standards and frameworks to ensure we contribute positively to society and the environment. This policy outlines our expectations for ourselves and our suppliers in upholding these high standards.
To continuously enhance and benchmark our efforts, we actively participate in EcoVadis striving to elevate our sustainable practices every step of the way.
Sustainability Commitments
PLITEK® strives to achieve a high level of environmental performance by adopting the most pragmatic, conscious approach to reduce environmental footprint. We commit to:

Environmental
PLITEK® is committed to protecting and enhancing the environment, using natural resources efficiently and optimally, and minimizing waste.
- Greenhouse Gas Reduction: We are committed to reducing our greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 30% from 2020 levels by 2030 through:
- Implementing advanced process control systems
- Investing in energy-efficient equipment
- Enhancing environmental controls within our facilities
- Minimizing waste generation and vehicle emissions
- Environmental Compliance: We adhere to all applicable environmental regulations in the regions where we operate.
- Product and Service Design: We promote the safe and environmentally responsible design, production, handling, use, and end-of-life retirement of our products.
- Environmental Management Systems: We maintain effective environmental management systems to prevent pollution and minimize environmental impact.
- Emissions and Resource Management: We actively pursue initiatives to reduce direct and indirect greenhouse gas emissions, and continuously improve our use of energy, water, and other natural resources.

- Health & Safety: We provide safe working conditions and manage occupational health and safety risks, complying with all relevant legal requirements and industry standards.
- Harassment & Discrimination: We prohibit any form of discrimination and harassment based on protected characteristics and ensure protection from retaliation for employees who report such issues. We prohibit discrimination and harassment against any employee or applicant for employment based on race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, pregnancy, age, national origin or ancestry, physical disability, mental disability, genetic information, marital status, citizenship status, political affiliation or any other consideration protected by national or local laws.

PLITEK® prioritizes governance and ethics as important elements of our sustainability policy. We ensure compliance with all relevant laws and maintain transparency in our operations to foster integrity and trust.
- Legal Compliance: We ensure full compliance with international, national, and local laws and regulations, including obtaining and maintaining all necessary permits for our operations.
- Anti-Bribery and Corruption: We adhere to all relevant laws concerning anti-bribery and corruption, maintaining strict policies against any form of corruption.
- Antitrust and Fair Competition: We comply with antitrust and fair competition laws and implement policies to ensure fair competition and prevent anti-competitive practices.
- Conflict of Interest: We require full disclosure of any potential conflicts of interest involving PLITEK® employees or business operations.
- Import and Export Compliance: We adhere to laws governing the import and export of goods, including compliance with trade sanctions and embargoes.
- Privacy: We handle personal data in compliance with applicable data protection and privacy laws.
- Tax Compliance: We adhere to international standards regarding tax evasion, fraud, and money laundering, to ensure transparency in all financial practices.
- Transparent Accounting: Our accounting records and financial documents provide a true, fair, and complete picture of transactions.
Supplier Code of Conduct
PLITEK®‘s Supplier Code of Conduct and Sustainability Policy applies to all direct and indirect suppliers, sub-contractors, haulers, tolling and storage providers, consultants, advisors, and third-party intermediaries of PLITEK® and its subsidiaries globally. The minimum expectation we hold for our suppliers is detailed in the Environmental, Social, and Governance and Ethics sections below.
We strongly encourage our suppliers to go beyond mere compliance and proactively embrace industry-leading Environmental, Social, and Governance and Ethics practices. This includes setting ambitious sustainability goals, implementing innovative solutions to address key challenges, and transparently reporting on performance using globally recognized frameworks such as the UN Global Compact, UN Sustainable Development Goals, and Global Reporting Initiative Standards.
In addition to the Supplier Code of Conduct, we may require a supplier to complete a more detailed assessment or audit.
At PLITEK®, we hold our suppliers to high standards aligned with our sustainability policy expecting compliance with all relevant environmental, social, and governance regulations while implementing responsible practices that promote fair labor, ethical business conduct, and a safe working environment. PLITEK® expects our suppliers to align with the standards set forth in this policy, including:
- Compliance with all relevant environmental, social, and governance regulations
- Implementation of environmental management systems
- Commitment to fair labor practices and human rights protection
- Adherence to ethical business practices and anti-corruption policies
- Promotion of health and safety in the workplace
- Protection of privacy and data
Assessment and Compliance
- We may periodically request suppliers to reconfirm their adherence to our Code of Conduct and may require detailed assessments or audits.
- In cases of non-conformance, we will work with suppliers to address and rectify identified issues. For serious or repeated violations, we reserve the right to review and potentially terminate the business relationship.
Benchmarking and Improvement
PLITEK® is fully dedicated to continuously improving our sustainability efforts by actively participating in EcoVadis and other benchmarking initiatives.
Whistleblower Process
- We encourage employees, suppliers, and relevant parties to report any observed or suspected breaches of this Code or other ethical violations through our compliance channels.
- We prohibit retaliation against anyone who reports violations in good faith. Reports can be made confidentially to our HR Department at hr@plitek.com
