Hydrogel Dressings

Hydrogel dressings provide a moist environment to aid the formation of granulation tissue in a healing wound. Hydrogels are composed of cross-linked polymers with up to 95% water content and generally do not absorb much exudate. Hydrogel dressings are generally used to treat wounds with minimal to moderate drainage. They are indicated for management of pressure ulcers, burns, surgical wounds, and skin tears.

• Lamination and island placement of hydrogels to moisture barrier films, non-wovens, and release liners
